Not sure how people could rate this place anything but 5 stars because I think this is one of the best spots in Hoboken.
Firstly, the pizza is amazing and the place is BYOB. They have unique pizza specials and I like that they are personal sized so everyone can get what they want or you can try a bunch.
Secondly, the ambience is amazing inside but even better, they have the best outside patio! Not sure how there is no pictures yet, I am going to add one. It has a beautiful tree with lights!
It's a great date spot or place to hang with your friends, and the BYOB makes it easy on the wallet. One thing I would like to see is a much better appetizer menu, they barely have anything and my friends and I love to order starters and usually don't here because of the lack of choice.
Amazing place overall!! -

Came here for a girls night with two friends and originally requested an outdoor table, but were told to sit all the way back right next to the shed of firewood that was crawling with bugs (note: the place was virtually empty, so plenty of seating elsewhere). We were given a menu, but half of the things were crossed out because they didn't have it. It was hot outside so we requested for ice, but they didn't have any ice, so we asked if they could chill our wine, but this request was initially ignored.
Because of the heat and the bugs that we're eating at our ankles, we requested to sit inside. The waiter accommodated this, but also openly made fun of us for this to his colleagues, which was very rude (I don't think he meant for us to hear, but we did.)
We got our order, but the waiter didn't check in with us for some time, and we had to serve ourselves to get plates for our shared meals. Once he noticed we had plates, he scolded us for having them. Saying "we don't provide large plates for our order" and that he had to "lay down the hammer" to make sure it "doesn't happen again." Strange. After that, never checked in with us for a long time until we flagged him for the check. He left us with the iPad to pay and then went outside to smoke, so we got up and left as soon as it confirmed payment.
All in all, expected way better from this place. The food was pretty good but that is its only redeeming factor. The service was so horrible that it ruined it all. -

This is definitely some solid pizza in the Hoboken area. I like how it's off the beaten path...aka off Washington street. They have an indoor and outdoor seating area which are both cute and quaint. The outdoor area is beautiful on a spring or summer evening but be warned, there is usually a wait for this. It is a BYOB which is a major plus as well. They offer a variety of salads and small apps for sharing and several different types of pizza.
My friend and I started with an order of zucchini flowers which were a special the evening we visited. WOW were these delicious! They were fresh and served piping hot. We ordered two pizzas to share as well. I think the most difficult thing about this restaurant is the fact they give you a pizza cutter to slice your own pizza lolol The pizzas are flavorful and the dough is light and airy, not dense at all. My favorite pizzas here are anything that comes with an egg on top. I love the runny yolk.
The service can be a little slow but I appreciate how they aren't trying to rush you out the door! I will surely be back to Dozzino again. -

Dozzino is a perfect place to eat when your in the mood for some brick oven style pizza and want to sit in a pretty courtyard. The whole place has a cool laid back vibe. It's byob and the menu is relatively tiny. The pizza selections are decent and the combos they put together are super tasty. Service is good but may be a little slow on busy nights. The pizza dough is fluffy and chewy with big air bubbles (yaaas). I wouldnt call it the best Za in hoboken but Dozzino does not disappoint.

Good pizza but less options later in the day.
Food:
Ordered a regular pie at Dozzino's and it was exactly what I expected, nothing more nothing less. The sauce and cheese on their pies are alright, for me there was no wow factor about the pizza. The crust had really great flavor, whatever oven they use is amazing but that was the main highlight of the pizza for me. The pizzas are all personal pies and are good for one person, if you're not too hungry, you can definitely split one and be satisfied.
After a certain time a majority of the pizzas weren't available only the basic La Pizza. I was definitely disappointed about this because the other pizzas on the menu sounded good.
Price:
La Pizza: $12.00
Vibe:
The workers were friendly and the space is very welcoming. There was only about one other group there but the atmosphere is very chill. Great place if your looking to have a toned down lunch or if you're looking for a quiet spot to catch up with friends.
